First Pharmacy Partners with Rotary Club for Annual Cancer Run

Kampala, Uganda – In a significant move towards combating cancer, we are excited to announce our partnership with the Rotary Club for this year’s Cancer Run, contributing UGX 20,000,000. The Cancer Run aims to raise funds for the construction of Uganda’s Cancer Care Centre at Nsambya Hospital. This initiative aligns with our mission to inspire better health, provide expert care and innovative solutions.
Speaking during the activation ceremony at our state-of-the-art First Pharmacy Mulago branch, Mr. Abraham, a Medical / Pharmacy Representative at First Pharmacy, highlighted how this collaboration with the Rotary Club underscores our dedication to leveraging our extensive expertise and resources to make a meaningful impact. According to Mr. Abraham, “This partnership exemplifies our commitment to the community and our dedication towards better healthcare solutions.”

We are committed to enhancing cancer care by sourcing and providing essential medications, including those that are sometimes not easily available. In addition to our cash contribution, we will be present at the inaugural medical camp at Kololo Airstrip on August 24th, the day before the Cancer Run on August 25th, 2024. This year marks the first time a medical camp will be held as part of the Cancer Run events. The camp aims to provide vital health services, including awareness and screening, further supporting the community in their fight against cancer.
