Who is First Pharmacy?

First Pharmacy is a leading community pharmacy and healthcare provider with 3 locations in Uganda.
We have a proffesional team of around 50, which comprises of pharmacists, riders and a doctor to help serve you and we dispense over 150,000 prescription items every year.

Our customers are our main focus and we endeavour to provide them with exceptional service and healthcare. We are accessibly located within the heart of communities and the internet, our pharmacies are right on the doorstep and strive to be the first choice for customer needs.

We are much more than a dispenser of medicines. Prevention, management and treatment are at the very core of our business, we aim to deliver high quality outcomes for chronic conditions, such as diabetes and heart health and to support local communities in making informed health decisions.

Through our pharmacies and website, First Pharmacy offers high quality healthcare products and services. We’ve also stocked a range of innovative and affordable products aimed at improving community health, such as blood pressure monitors and allergy relievers, along with a suite of convenient professional health check services, including blood pressure and diabetes testing, and cholesterol and heart checks – all carried out in the comfort of a private consultation room.

We also work closely with local healthcare providers to develop and deliver commissioned services to address specific health needs within communities.

What are our Professional Standards?

First Pharmacy online service is run by qualified pharmacists and operates from registered pharmacy premises under the Pharmaceuti- cal Society of Uganda. Information about our registration status, can be obtained by visiting https://psu.or.ug.

All our pharmacists are bound by standards for ethics, conduct and performance as set out by the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda.

What are the acceptable modes of payment?

We have a cash acceptance pledge which is cash-friendly. We recognise that not all our customers are able to pay digitally and so we’ve made the commitment to keep accepting cash in our 3 stores.

At First Pharmacy we’re here for everyone, we pledge that our customers who rely on cash will not be excluded by the transition to digital payments.
