Our 2026 Quiz Whiz Championship brought colleagues together for five days of learning, friendly competition and celebration, culminating on World Pharmacists Day. At First Pharmacy, World Pharmacists Day is an opportunity to celebrate the people whose knowledge, care and professional judgement shape the experience we give our customers every day.
As part of our commitment to creating meaningful impact beyond healthcare, we proudly participated in the 10th Edition of the Educate An Orphan Run, an initiative dedicated to supporting education opportunities for vulnerable children across Uganda.
The run brought together individuals, organisations, and communities with a shared purpose: creating pathways to a brighter future through education. For us, this cause reflects an important part of our purpose, caring for communities and contributing to initiatives that positively impact lives.
First Pharmacy team members celebrate after successfully participating in the Educate An Orphan Run 2026.
During the event, we created a wellness experience for participants through our First Pharmacy engagement booth, where runners and attendees accessed complimentary health checks, including blood pressure and BMI assessments. Our team also shared practical wellness guidance, encouraging participants to take proactive steps towards better health.

By bringing healthcare closer to the community, we reinforced our belief that wellbeing is built through prevention, awareness, and everyday choices. Healthcare is not only about responding when people are unwell; it is about empowering individuals with the knowledge and support to live healthier lives.
Our partnership with Educate An Orphan Uganda represents the power of collaboration in driving sustainable change. Just as education creates opportunities for children to reach their potential, access to healthcare creates stronger and more resilient communities.
First Pharmacy team members receive an award of participation from the Educate An Orphan Run organisers in recognition of their support for the initiative.
Through initiatives like the Educate An Orphan Run, we continue to invest in partnerships that bring people together, inspire action, and create lasting impact.
At First Pharmacy, we believe that strong communities are built through access to quality healthcare, education and opportunity. While healthcare remains at the heart of what we do, our responsibility extends beyond our pharmacies. Through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, we support initiatives that create lasting value for the communities we serve across Uganda.
